One of the best things about having a tin roof? The sound of the rain falling on it.
When Joe and I were searching for a house, we knew one of the requirements was that it either needed to have a tin roof or it would be replaced with one. Some say with the Texas hail it's not necessarily the most economical roof to own, but we think it's worth risk. Right now, the sweet sound of the pitter patter is what it's all about.
This morning Winnie and Dixie were excellent guard dogs and alerted me that there were in fact, two other dogs on our property. Dixie did her best impression of, "get off my porch" as I ran to get Roo out and in the out from the backyard. It's not that I felt threated by the dogs, but you never know and Roo is well, a little too nice and a little too curious sometimes.
When Joe got home from Lowes, we took a stroll to go find them in hopes they had collars. We walked up towards the road and did find them, but they slunk away. We got a better look at them, a lab mix and shepard . Felt bad knowing they would be out in the wood with the pending storm we had coming but that is county living I guess.
I snapped the first picture about 15 minutes before it started to rain and Joe snapped the second one as the storm really started to hit.

Flash of light and a big thunder boom.

Texas weather, it's sunny until it's not!
Hoping the rain clears up so we can attend the Holiday Block Stroll in downtown, fingers crossed!
